Editing a short intro episode for my new #NameAndFame podcast (launches early 2026) and I made this point about my finding and amplifying #climateinfluence work:

My guests do not wait to be put on a pedestal before they engage with their communities, they do it out of the gate.
I would like to take this moment to thank all of the more progressive city mayors, especially in the U.S. , who (with help from their comms teams, likely) are ON this platform and authentically sharing /engaging.

YOU are the future and I will #NamAndFame you and nudge others to do the same.

Try taking a photo of something that really brings you joy (oh my - like the fall leaves were in Seattle) and *don’t* post it.

Imagine that.

#JoyAsAnActOfResistance to the times that be.
The societally accepted prompts for joy are ridiculously few. I love hearing Devi Brown get into this here.

Performative happiness (see instagram) is a flimsy veneer. In fully experiencing *your* unique joy, there is power, including #ClimateInfluence

Incredibly short-sighted and irresponsible, and completely disconnected from the real values & priorities of Vancouverites. This move would be awful not only for Vancouver, but also for all the cities that Vancouver’s leadership has inspired over decades of North American sustainability leadership.

SEATTLE!!!

We’ve now taken the lead by 91 votes! 🤯 This thing is certainly not over! Over 1,000 ballots have been challenged, so if you haven’t tracked your ballot yet get on it! Our trusty volunteers have been working hard to "cure" ballots so they count! We're so close!

Research for #ClimateInfluence in #food choices and how to successfully change consumer behavior in a more #plantbased direction.

The study shows that women seem to have easy enough "uptake" but that moving men in a #lessmeat direction is more challenging.

I have ideas about how to do that.

The fact that China's green economy has outpaced our fossil fuel one was totally predictable 10 years ago. And US companies and economic policies continue to put their head in the sand. Even as we wrangle against facism, the physical effects of our CO2 emissions continue inexorably. Science.

Check on your ballots!

Make sure there are no signature challenges!
Given how close this election is getting, it could come down to how many people resolve signature challenges on their ballots. The county says there are 2,053 signature challenges for Seattle ballots.

Friday drop from King County Elections is in.

Katie Wilson is now just 4,300 votes behind Bruce Harrell, and there are around 45,000+ ballots in Seattle still to count, according to our calculations. It's close... it will probably get closer.

Wilson won close to 54% of this fourth batch.
