It’s out! I’m so thrilled to have worked on the narrative and can’t wait to see what folks think!

(The opening of this fantastic trailer is how it’s going to look when I play. lol.)

Hey so, today is my last day at Crystal Dynamics apparently. I joined the company in 2018 to work on Marvel's Avengers and it's been the longest (and best) job I've ever had. It now means I'm looking for work, so if you know of any senior writer/narrative designer positions please send them my way.

I love yellow dragon fruit, but don’t buy it often because it’s so expensive. A nice treat on this stormy day.

I love waking up to stormy days. This morning, I stood with my front door open while I made my coffee and just listened to the rush of the wind in the trees and the patter of the rain.

Literally just had a visit from the FBI over these drawings. I wasn’t home, but they talked to my ex-wife, said they were there because of my “social media drawings”.
This is a fascist government.
Drawing takes my mind off the news, and helps me envision are more just and beautiful world. Wish fulfillment, I know, but the good thing about wishing is that sometimes...it leads to action and reality.
This is pen and ink and then toned quick and dirty in photoshop.

It's weird how the brain doesn't always immediately catch up to physical reality. I'm fully moved into my new apartment, but it doesn't feel real. Some part of me keeps thinking, "Oh, nice vacation, but when am I going home?"

Finished IMMORTALITY. Barlow and his team's method of allowing the player to shape the narrative through discovery is truely fascinating. I genuinely can't think of any other games like Her Story or Immortality in the way things are pieced together through fragements.

Great 🧵on the current state of game industry. As I've said before: things were better before investors in general discovered that you could make money making games.
A lot of the business failures of the games industry are really rooted in this desire to create a product that dominates the market. The recent Amazon thing really highlights that: they wanted to create a product that outperformed Steam, but they didn't understand Steam or what the audience wanted.

There’s a sudden influx of people asking what Sweet Baby Inc *do*. So here I am, a Sweet Baby Inc employee, to tell you: we are writers & narrative designers! We write and help create stories, all with the enthusiastic consent of the studios who hire us!

Great thread about that here! \/\/
I am summoned

Yeah, hugely disappointed by Shesez here. Sweet Baby Inc was not "designed to consult and steer more inclusion" into games. They are brought on purposefully as a second opinion on narrative by large studios. They're script doctors. There's no pressure campaign to hire them.
