It’s out! I’m so thrilled to have worked on the narrative and can’t wait to see what folks think!

(The opening of this fantastic trailer is how it’s going to look when I play. lol.)

I'm redoing my website, and it's been a minute since I looked at the WordPress settings...if you're a WP user, you might want to go to settings --> reading --> click the box that claims it will prevent your site's content from being used to train AI models. Sigh...

The Pitt is amazing. It’s so well crafted — excellent world building, clever filming style that makes the place feel grounded, and powerful storytelling.

The top reason studios use consulting labour for narrative is that they all want to avoid having a greater quantity of writers and narrative designers on the full-time payroll. That's it. It's to get the stuff designed and written but also save money/commitment.
I think the thing that gets muddled about us over and over again is that we *do* write things! We *are* game devs! And so when people say we just give feedback or opinions it looks like we’re being caught in a lie.
We are being paid by the studio to write whatever it is they pay us to write.

All right, how about a science fiction micro-reading-challenge for 2026?

Read one (1) science fiction (not fantasy!) novel by a woman with an original publication date in the 90s (1990-1999) and for hard mode, it must be a new-to-you read, not a reread! (Even harder mode, try a new-to-you author!)

The amount of community networking that I am suddenly aware of is astounding. And they are overwhelmed with the amount of new people getting involved.
Please understand this is happening in literally dozens of locations around the city simultaneously. If an ICE vehicle stops, community members materialize in seconds and do everything they can to stop the kidnappings. We are under siege and using every tool to fight back.
430k of us vs. 2k of them, we're gonna win this

I only played four #games that were released in 2025: Consume Me, Blue Prince, Messenger (a browser game), and The Outer Worlds 2. All were great in different ways.

I guess Consume Me is my favorite, because it combines memoir with gameplay, which I'd like to see more of.
What was your favourite game at the end of 2025? I'm guessing your mind hasn't changed in the last ten days, but do say if it has
