I keep taking screenshots in The Outer Worlds 2, because the skies are just so pretty.

My sister bought me a goth bouquet of flowers as a house warming gift and I adore them.

I love yellow dragon fruit, but don’t buy it often because it’s so expensive. A nice treat on this stormy day.

Finished IMMORTALITY. Barlow and his team's method of allowing the player to shape the narrative through discovery is truely fascinating. I genuinely can't think of any other games like Her Story or Immortality in the way things are pieced together through fragements.

Well, everything is in the new apartment.

October #Horror #6: PROM NIGHT (1980) — During a game in an abandoned building, four children cause the death of another kid. A decade later, a killer enacts revenge on prom night. The movie takes it's time, but holds tension through clever editing and well-placed hints of the coming threat.

Was gifted flowers yesterday, but I’m currently moving and have already packed my vases. My solution? A disposable plastic cup inside a cardboard box.

October #Horror #6: THE HOWLING (1981) — A news reporter attempts to help the police find a killer and is confronted by a werewolf stalker. Unable to face her trauma, she goes to a retreat with its own secrets. Some of the effects are cool, others are quite goofy. Good story, but didn't love it.

October #Horror #4: STIR OF ECHOES (1999) — After being hypnotized at a party, Tom begins to become aware of his latent psychic abilities. He sees a ghost in their home and begins to search for the truth. I love the relationship between Tom and Maggie and how they support each other. (CW for SA.)

On the way home.

October #Horror #4: LAKE MUNGO (2008) — The poster and my past experience with faux-documentaries led me to expect something more bombastic than this achingly sad and haunting movie. When their daughter dies, the Palmers look for answers in the aftermath. Are they haunted or just mourning?

The movie made some significant changes to the storyline for the sake of brevity, but captures the combination of tense horror and humor. I wish the girls in the movie were as proactive about fighting back as they were in the book, but otherwise, this was a fun flick.

October Horror #3: CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD (2025) — Based on the book by (which I loved), with an interesting take on the slasher genre. Hoping for a fresh start, Quinn and her father move to a small, ailing town, known for its mascot Frendo the Clown, which begins slaughtering local teenagers.

One of two memes that I actually have saved on my desktop — and it seems oddly appropriate.

October Horror #2: CANDYMAN (1992) — Phenomenal. I love how much time is spent exploring the urban legend and its potential impact on the world before introducing the true Candyman. Tony Todd is so charismatic, instantly captivating. Virginia Madsen also fantastic. A new favorite.

October Flick #1: COMPANION (2025). Fun, dark comedy.

It’s interesting that the marketing revealed Iris’ true nature from the start, because the opening scenes play like it’s a secret, like it’s set up for a surprise reveal. I would what the experience would have been with no knowledge of this.

In How a Poem Moves, Adam Sol strives to eliminate the phrase, I just “don’t get poetry” from modern conversations, calling it an “an insult to your abilities as a reader, and to poetry itself.” It’s a great read if you want to explore more poetry and grow your understanding for the form.

Adding details into the new #Bitsy game. Having fun figuring out how much is too much — or too little.

I've started working on a new #Bitsy game. Right now, I've just laid out the basic set up for each of the "rooms" with the idea that I'll start filling in the details once I have the basics figured out.

Should I reread THE STAND first? Or after?
