ever since I learned about three-cueing I've developed infinitely more patience for replies on social media. mfers literally do not know how to read. people are walking around conjuring random meanings into words they don't know, and they don't know a lot of words. it's crazy

Trying to pass the California bar exam when you not only didn't go to law school but never went to college is like trying to become a pro athlete in a sport you didn't try until you were 25. Highly unlikely but also if you ever succeed it will be really impressive

And not to be all avocado toast about it but working-class people didn't and couldn't buy brand-name anything back then. They bought everything - clothes, TVs - at JCPenney and fixed their own cars, which was also possible because cars were simpler then. They were also worse in every other way.

I don't know about anyone else but I don't find "slow run" "0 to 1500" videos very helpful when it's a 2400-rated streamer winning every game because their low-rated opponent made a stupid mistake. You're not seeing how a 500 can win, just how a 500 can lose. #chess #chesspunks
