"Meltdown" is unfair. They stopped teaching or requiring kids to handwrite anything after second grade or so and so they literally don't have the small motor skills to move a pen efficiently. They eliminated cursive so they don't have the physical ability to execute a signature well.

That was one reason I quit FB 10 years ago. I was funneling my severe depression into daily 10 am political rants -- for which I got reliably positive feedback. I started saying things about realizing the rants were driven by depression and no one noticed.
