Snow, ice, and gusting winds can cause power lines to fall. If you happen to spot a downed line while out and about, stay at least 10 metres away, call 911 immediately and then call Hydro Ottawa at 613 738-6400.

Minneapolis Shows Us Anarchism at Work — Assigned
The trans community should look to Minneapolis as an example of how leaderless, bottom-up organizing can be more powerful than traditional politics in making change.

Two crows came today.

I think they're the two who lost a relative in early December. I'm not sure of the white feathers on the one's back are there or if I'm imagining them.

I saw them yesterday, in their usual neighbourhood tree, and I waved, and now they're here.

Crow card for today:

Horror Peeps - somehow we slept on this incredible little Canadian supernatural comedy, and that needs to change! Decent acting, satisfying character arcs, body positive, sex positive, etc. So fun. Come for the low-budget cheese, stay for the earnest enjoyment.

Happy world fermentation day to all who celebrate!

A history of civilization is a history of pickles, and fermentation! Or how the lactobacillales domesticated humankind...

Without fermentation we wouldn't have beer, wine, cheese, miso, kimchi etc.

Full Moon – Snow Moon / Birch Moon Crests
The garlic in my kitchen has started to sprout. It must be Imbolg. I'll be doing ritual with Lake of Oaks Grove today, and with the Women's Inclusive Pagan Circle tomorrow, and I'll probably do some kind of a write-up about both in the next week or so. At the moment though, as this full moon is in Leo, I wanna talk about me-me-me.

Right on time. ;-)

Also, the chonky bunny who lives under our porch was quite startled to see me this morning (refilling the bird feeder).

Alas, my moochy crows have not been back.

Just finished @haileypiperfights.bsky.social's A GAME IN YELLOW & the thing about weird fiction I love is that you're basically microdosing madness. You get to disconnect from reality & go just a teeny bit mad for as many pages as you can handle. Then you look at the world sideways for a few days.
