And I got the newest (and fantastic) book, which I had already started reading as an e-book, edited by @maargentino.com and @amaramarasingam.bsky.social

With a beautiful dedication ❤️

If you ever feel you're suffering from imposter syndrome, just remember there are "academics" who can't comprehend the title of the book, let alone be bothered to read said book, or take 5 minutes to look the authors corpus before making these bold claims.

SCOOP (free, as it's FOIA-based!): I obtained 1,665 pgs of documents about "Bicken Ben," a growing private school the Zuckerbergs ran illegally out of their Palo Alto compound

Neighbors complained the school for years. Then, in 2024, they reached their breaking point:

Mark Zuckerberg Opened an Illegal School at His Palo Alto Compound. His Neighbors Revolted
Neighbors complained about noise, security guards, and hordes of traffic. An unlicensed school named after the Zuckerbergs’ pet chicken tipped them over the edge.

Dimitri Soudas, former Harper comms guy, told RadCan this morning that he's hearing Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux will cross the floor to the Liberals today.

If this happens, the Liberals are one seat short of a majority. You know what that means.

That's right.

Mamdani may be young but we know who the real toddlers are.
Zohran Mamdani says on NY1 he didn't get a congratulatory call from either Andrew Cuomo or Eric Adams last night.

He says he got a congratulatory call from Curtis Sliwa, though.

They’ve started running Dick Cheney through the Charlie Kirk sanitation machine.

The man pushed false WMD claims, justified torture, and expanded unchecked executive power after 9/11. He showed zero remorse for the hundreds of thousands who died in Iraq.

Like… stop it.

Imagine if Canada was investing in research and universities, instead of burning everything down.
A poll from the journal Nature found that 75% of researchers in the U.S. are considering leaving the country. That includes a man who’s been dubbed the "Mozart of Math." (This PBS story on the scientific brain drain is heartbreaking & ominous for medicine, imo.) www.youtube.com/watch?v=yLvO...

There is a real and scary rise of far-right extremism happening right now -- but we need to be careful not to make this into a witch hunt.

Far right culture exists, but not everything they embrace is only embraced by them.

This has to be satire right
In Opinion

Early in Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral campaign, “it was easy to assume that failure to learn his name reflected a failure to take him seriously,” John McWhorter writes. But “as a matter of pure linguistics, it would be surprising if people didn’t have trouble with the name Mamdani.”
Opinion | I Now Mispronounce You the Likely Next Mayor of New York City
A lot of people seem to trip over Zohran Mamdani’s name. The reason may not be as simple as it seems.
