I have a bulk-sized box of hand warmers in my car. I hand out packs to any homeless or cold-looking person I pass. It’s small but it helps.
The bigger part is looking them in the eye and acknowledging them, which sadly too few others do. I might not be able to do much but “I see you. Stay warm”

Oxymoron du jour: "Principled Republican"
Any elected Republican with an ounce of integrity would leave the party. Not one in Congress is leaving because they're all cowards or fascist bootlickers or both. (*Though Massie has been doing some good from the inside).

I went to bed around 2 am and we only had about an inch on the ground. I could still see where I'd swept.

I opened my front door to sweep off the approx 1" of powder that had fallen by the time the sun set and scared a poor little house finch that had been nesting in my wreath. It was so disoriented, it flew inside the house! Sorry birdie! 😲
