Is minimum wage guy going to drive his $50K EV to work? Will he use non-existent mass transit? How exactly is an economy only for the wealthy going to function?

I was in East Germany and saw a factory with a "dormitory" surrounded by security. You know, for the "workers." Convenient, right?

People demand that Ds step out of the mainstream and do something dramatic, but that’s what the GOP finally decided to do, to just go for it, and how is that working out for them electorally?

It's funny to me that the guys who are into passenger cars enjoy alien-looking racing machines with lots of wings and spindly bits, and guys who are into pickup trucks enjoy racing machines that look like passenger cars.

What they hate is lack of hierarchy.

What they envision is a system of tiered citizenship with legal impunity for the top tiers and more restrictive laws for the bottom.

They don't want to deport all the low wage workers. They want to allow them to be controllable as slaves.

Talked to an immigrant recently and he told me that in some communities people have been abandoning blue states to, in essence, hide out in red states until the Orangutan in Chief's revenge against blue states ends.

We both agreed that red state people will really love that.

"All men are created equal" has carried so much water for the right for all these years.

Firstly, they also said "We the people" so "men" was a choice.

Secondly, slavery, obviously.

Thirdly, we aren't. We should be equal UNDER THE LAW.

If there's one thing you can say about social media, it's that it has allowed people who are bad at thinking to more easily locate other people who are also bad at thinking and gather into poorly-thinking groups where they think poorly together in a self-reinforcing manner.

I am all for calling anyone from the Americas "American."

The problem is what you call people from the U.S. after that.

All jokes aside, what would you suggest?

As a child I was in Washington D.C. for the bicentennial. My parents thought it would be good for us to learn of the founding and so on. We also stayed in Williamsburg, and to some extent this sparked my interest in history.

200 was a joyful celebration.

250 will be nothing but more looting.

If you are in marketing, look up Bill Hicks' standup routine on the subject.

Also, if the new livery for your massively expensive F1 project is incredibly dull, don't spend a fortune on a single advertisement that relies on visuals of the car to convey some sort of sense of excitement.

If you are complaining about anti-semitism in the old "paint them with a broad brush" way, I get it. Speak softly and carry a big stick, right?

But no one is buying it now. You can either address the complexities of the issues or you will be ignored by thinking people, just like MAGA is now.

People who claim liberalism is proto-fascism support systems that would limit personal freedoms in order to have community over competition, which is indeed a fine goal, but they never seem to accept that the heads of such governments are inevitably ultra narcissists like Trump: Mao, Stalin, et al.

Paranoia?

Assume you are under surveillance always. There is no such thing anymore as confidentiality, not from companies, attorneys, physicians, or really anyone, all due to data theft.

Think strategically and tactically in all your dealings and communications.

Trust no system or organization.

A huge story that I see nowhere:

The role that the corporatization of medical practices plays in destroying patient/doctor trust and in patients withholding information that could be used against them by insurance companies or the government, thus limiting their own care.

Glad people liked the show. The Pats lost, which is as it should be.

Now it’s time for important things.

What do these have in common?

Born Again Salvation

God's Chosen People

'al-Dawlah' (The State)

They all imply that God favors one group over another. It's simulated tribalism using cult techniques to motivate the ignorant to obey an elite.

Abrahamic religion in a nutshell: Nationalism.

We produce oil have no refinery.
We produce electricity but make no money from it.
We have ports but cannot trade from them.
Would it be because we let another Country dictate the rules?

Do you want to know the real challenge for the U.S.?

We are not in control because of the bomb. Before WWII we were not a national security state.

Epstein? You'll NEVER know the truth.

We've only been quasi-democratic for 80 years. We need to learn to control the guard dogs.

Imagine a gun holster you wear on your head with the barrel pointing at your temple, and the gun trigger is digitally controllable and connected to the internet, so though they say it could never happen, the tech company that produces the trigger could pull it at any time and blow your head off.
