Firstly, they also said "We the people" so "men" was a choice.

As a child I was in Washington D.C. for the bicentennial. My parents thought it would be good for us to learn of the founding and so on. We also stayed in Williamsburg, and to some extent this sparked my interest in history.

If you are complaining about anti-semitism in the old "paint them with a broad brush" way, I get it. Speak softly and carry a big stick, right?
But no one is buying it now. You can either address the complexities of the issues or you will be ignored by thinking people, just like MAGA is now.

People who claim liberalism is proto-fascism support systems that would limit personal freedoms in order to have community over competition, which is indeed a fine goal, but they never seem to accept that the heads of such governments are inevitably ultra narcissists like Trump: Mao, Stalin, et al.
