This tracks with current events. Clearly the GOP is completely corrupted, Trump most of all, and there are many strings attached, some pulling in different directions.

I always come back to The Police, and I never tire of them.

You can't convince me, though, that the star of the band isn't named Copeland.

Tariffs and other policies could be wise or foolish at any point in time, given the circumstances.

What never changes, however, is this: uncertainty kills commerce. In my field businesses are dropping like flies because we can't even plan for the near future.

Uncertainty destroys wealth.

This is just amazing. The sort of awe inspired by belief in a God is nothing compared to the enlightenment of science. There is no greater reverence than that for the intricate workings of creation itself.

What do you think about "For All Mankind" on Apple TV? No spoilers, please, as I just started watching it.

I am not thrilled with it yet, but I absolutely love anything related to NASA, and I enjoy alternate history speculate fiction.

Is it worth the time?

I am declaring myself Bluesky Elite.

I don't know what it means, but I like the sound of it.

So go ahead and give me a checky-marky thingy, or whatever it is that signifies superiority.

Now everyone do what my twisted subconscious and narrow academic understandings demand you should do.

A reminder that most Americans DESPISE Trump, MAGA, and the current Republican Party. His current approval ratings indicate that about 2/3 oppose.

We just have a rural area skewed, early 19th century electoral system, and it lacks the mechanisms to change the government before a scheduled election.
Hopefully the President who raped children will resign, because he's making all of us look bad, as people.

This brings up a theory I've had, which is that you can tell a great deal about people by their pizza preferences.

This works for regions and even countries, and it also works on families and individuals.

This isn't about discriminating by style, by the way, but about cultural standards.
What's pizza like in the U.K.? I've never tried it there.

I've tried it in other countries, and in my opinion, the best pizza is to be found in Italy, obviously, but otherwise the next best is in the U.S.

Probably the weirdest, least enjoyable pizza I ever had was in Germany.

Done intentionally, promoted by both Trump and Epstein to muddy the accusations being made against them. They have emails between Epstein and the 4chan guys who cooked up Qanon—what more proof do we need?

I hate posts like this because I fear post-death revelations, but one thing is for sure: Robert Duvall was a giant among actors.
A giant loss: Robert Duvall is gone. An extraordinary artist who was fluent in every dialect of film acting, from ice-cold underplayer (The Godfather) to expert naturalist (Tender Mercies, The Apostle) to balls-to-the-wall maniac (Apocalypse Now). One of our all-timers. Plunge into that filmography.

To those angry at being lectured for withholding votes, I have done it myself, so I speak from experience.

I am sorry I did it not because I was wrong but because it was tactically stupid.

I just want us all to realize that we should unite forces in general elections to defeat Fascism.

Welp. [Midwestern for time to scooch]
Some kinda prion disease from eating human flesh would explaing like 99% of the insanity perpetuated by our leadership in general for the last 2 decades. Mass qamounts of narcotics, illicit sex with minors, and brain rot from cannibalism, and suddenly the last 20 years of our country makes sense

It seems to me we are placating Israelis, who undoubtedly were beneficiaries of Epstein's blackmail materials, and who now own the Republican Party.

Religious barbarity must be protected (they think) for the sake of the prime brainwashing technique employed to keep a population dumb and fearful.

I read about Epstein accusations including torture, murder, cannibalism, etc., and I think, stay calm, don't give in to the temptation to become a conspiratorial thinker, and then I think some more, and it occurs to me that so far every horrific rumor about these ghouls has been proven true.

My old Toyota costs me 10¢/mi in fuel, 2¢ in tags, and 8¢ in insurance. Maintenance and repairs are currently negligible, but to be safe figure another 10¢/mi to build a repair fund. At 10,000 mi/yr, that's $1,000/yr.

That's 30¢/mi or $3,000/yr total expense.

Who does better in the U.S. & how?

I did not expect to be this impressed by Ken Jennings.
I miss when you could post Brave Norman Rockwell Townsperson and the caption could be, like, “R.E.M was wrong to leave ‘Fretless’ off of Out of Time” instead of “The secret police should stop murdering people.”

Brilliant analysis of an iconic scene from CASABLANCA with too much contemporary relevance. “The Germans are but one small enclave, finding themselves within a community that’s filled with less traditional power but greater numbers and far superior zeal.”

The Audi did not impress me at first, but it really presents itself beautifully on track.

I have no affinity for Audi the company, but well done to the team, chassis and engine.
