As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.

ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.

U.S. citizen who had done nothing wrong refused to submit to finger prints or facial ID by immigration officials.

Again, it’s the “show me your papers, comrade” era.
DHS is out with a new explanation of this and "he's a brown guy who looked like some sex criminals who he allegedly lived with" (his sister-in-law's story suggests that last part is made up), and they claim he refused to be fingerprinted or "facially ID'd," which I do not in any way believe at all.

Rest in power to Keith Porter who was murdered by an ICE agent in Los Angeles.

It’s terrible that his name is just now being circulated, but now that it is, continue to say his name.
Advocates want legal action after man shot and killed by off-duty ICE agent in Northridge
Advocates argue that the off-duty ICE agent wasn't trained for the situation and should have called police and waited for them to arrive.

I get the feeling that tax season is going to be a rude awakening for folks when systems have delays and failures because of the current admin. Getting w2s for my last job in HHS currently seems like a quixotic task

Seems like possible pretence for tech and defense spending. One of Jamelle's points is this is just the beginning. There will be protracted conflict. Yes and the attempt to develop moral grounds for improving our destructive and lethal capabilities.

Homelessness in Seattle: We can't unsee it | Op-Ed
Every day we see homeless people on Seattle’s sidewalks, in public rights-of-way and in parks. At some point, we stop seeing them as humans with needs.

"The state Legislature never specified measurable outcomes, which hampered any evaluation. Loosely, the tax breaks were aimed at increasing “quality” employment and research spending. But lawmakers left those targets undefined."

This is what you voted for⁉️

Detainees treated like violent criminals. Moved from cage to cage at 3 a.m. and sleep-deprived. Only 3 minutes to eat. Bathrooms three times a week. No towel to dry off after a shower and growing fungus on their bodies.

Listen to this once. Then listen to it again.
