Last night, I hit the doors, taking nothing for granted. I’m proud of the campaign we’ve run, the coalition we’ve built, and the vision for our city that we’ve created together. Vote by 8 pm today by dropping your ballot in a dropbox.

"The state Legislature never specified measurable outcomes, which hampered any evaluation. Loosely, the tax breaks were aimed at increasing “quality” employment and research spending. But lawmakers left those targets undefined."

This is what you voted for⁉️

Detainees treated like violent criminals. Moved from cage to cage at 3 a.m. and sleep-deprived. Only 3 minutes to eat. Bathrooms three times a week. No towel to dry off after a shower and growing fungus on their bodies.

Listen to this once. Then listen to it again.

A bunch of students and @lupefiasco.bsky.social have created what I see as one of the top 5 uses of machine learning in the era of the LLM. Amazing how when you have care and focus, you can make a more beneficial and enduring product than those selling the boiled ocean...

I said it would get worse very quickly. By tomorrow we will have completed the most dangerous & frightening 24 hours thus far of Trump 2.0. Just to name a few:
1. Defiance of a court order by sending migrants to Sudan without due process (despite clear DP decision SCOTUS) & Dist. CT. order.

I helped build a government AI system. DOGE fired me, rolled the AI out to the whole agency, and implied the AI can do my job and the jobs of the others they've fired.

It can't. But, what DOGE accidentally revealed about themselves in the process is fascinating. 🧵

Re the many claims that "30 day shutdown = automatic RIF (permanent layoffs)".

No, OPM's own guidance quite explicitly says differently.
From OPM: "Note: RIF furlough regulations...are not applicable to emergency shutdown furloughs because the ultimate duration of an emergency shutdown furlough is unknown at the outset and is dependent entirely on Congressional action, rather than agency action."
