I spent months following Ruby Liu's contentious bid for 25 former Hudson's Bay stores. This is the story of how the deal fell apart.

How Ruby Liu’s contentious play for Hudson’s Bay stores fell apart
The B.C. billionaire’s team has portrayed her as a rags-to-riches business savant who would ‘save Canadian retail.’ But her opponents tell a story of an ill-conceived plan that was bound to fail

@bensteiner00.bsky.social I think you need to investigate the atrocity of not having the UWCL being broadcast in Canada. Looking at the list of countries, we are the only one missing. What gives?

@conradhackett.bsky.social may be able to provide some insight on this. I find his posts very insightful.
Trying to find some Bluesky demographics and a few sources say the largest age bracket is 18-24 year olds 🧐 Does anyone have more sources/stats?

Are we taking credit for the new green space in Eau Claire?
Yes. Yes, we are. 🌿

We’ve been advocating for more accessible, beautiful public spaces in our neighbourhood and it’s great to see progress taking shape.

A new green space is coming to Eau Claire! 🌿

Construction starts Oct 20 on a temporary turf field beside Eau Claire Plaza. ECCA worked with The City to turn what would've been a gravel pit into a place to play, picnic, and connect. Opening spring 2026.

I concur. Please email premier@gov.ab.ca and health.minister@gov.ab.ca and pass this on…
There are still investigations by the Auditor-General and the RCMP and the wrongful dismissal suit by former AHS CEO. But significant gaps in the Wyant report (ie., why were these conflicts of interest allowed to occur) strengthens my conviction that we need a full public inquiry.
