Day 1 comes to an end for Team Canada, and it saw a bronze just a few hours in from Valérie Maltais in the women's 3,000m.

Canada is one of eight countries with a medal so far — Team USA has none yet.

Also, a win for the women's hockey team vs Switzerland.

I spent some time with Abigail Strate earlier this week as she prepares to chase two Olympic podiums in ski jumping.

"I didn't really even realize how much of an effect it would have," she said.

She's a medal contender in Normal Hill right now.
