For me, in WAKE UP DEAD MAN, this scene is the *heart* of the movie.
I still think about it two weeks later.
It has no role in the plot nor mystery.
Rian simply reminds us all to have grace, and find time, to be there for one another.

This is so good.
TOND is here, and it’s put the Broken Vell podcast channel back in the top ten!

Thanks to everyone who supports us on patreon.com/brokenveil and everyone who’s listened… especially if they’ve told a friend.

It’s like The Ring. Right? You have to pass it on.

They booked a bunch of 14 year old models to come to a Mar A Lago party, told them to dress sexy and tried to ply them with alcohol.
These are the people who are willing to go on the record.

This actually quite a big climbdown - even if it's still a limited number of tickets available

"In total, 50% of each PMA allocation will fall within the most affordable range, namely Supporter Value Tier (40%) and the Supporter Entry Tier (10%)."

A Fifa climbdown?

A new cheaper ticket tier has been introduced for qualified teams

America, you have spoken loud and clear: You do not like AI. But what if AI is the way to restart the world’s idea machine?
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

One of the bleakest things about living in the UK right now is that the country is full of people who, if their community is given something nice, will just destroy it for no reason. I really don’t know how you fix that.

Can't remember if it was this bad before COVID but I'm seeing an alarming spreading of what I'll call Airport Behavior to other public places. Obliviousness to other people's existence, ineptitude at navigating the environment. "Is this your first time at the grocery store" type stuff

Also who cares why they did it? What matters is it's done. (In any case reducing poverty is one reason people vote for Labour MPs so mollifying is kind of the point of elected them).
I'm hearing criticisms of the end to the two child limit, because it was done just to mollify Labour backbenchers, at a cost of £billions.

I remember another govt delivering a referendum on EU membership, just to mollify restive backbenchers. That's costing way, way more... A little perspective?
