I've literally been having anxiety over this. I'm still coming back onto the job hunt postpartum and I just don't have it in me to be on here trying to come up with things to post to prove my value to game writing hiring candidates. I've done that for ten years. It's exhausting.
I just don’t want “film a video and hope it goes viral” to be a “reasonable” expectation of authors!! I hate being on video! I am too awkward for video!

Yeah, no. I'm a contractor, I write for games, and sometimes that means writing 100% of a game's text. I'm a valuable part of the team! Contractors aren't just "support", they deserve to be credited (and treated) better than this

I haven’t seen major conversation about this in a minute, but having a studio in a state that bans abortion and has criminally prosecuted people for having miscarriages without a remote option sends the message that you value low taxes over your employee’s lives.
