A little peek into how the sausage is (being) made:

These are the start of the shadow masks I'll be using to define where fake cast shadows should fall on the character

Combining this with a bunch of other masking and overlays will give me some nice control over shadow behavior

i threw this shader together for the energy shield today and im quite proud of it. its mainly inspired by the vortex shield in titanfall but i wanted something unique and i think i achieved that quite well.

Unfortunately I suspect as union activity gains momentum and popular support in this broken industry we will continue to see studios ramp up their union busting efforts.

Be smart: practice good infosec, read up on typical union-busting tactics, and most importantly: don’t let them scare you.

Nothing fills me with a sense of dread quite like the work of artist Chris Van Allsburg. When I was very young, his illustrations terrified me just as much as the ones in Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, but in a way I didn't even have words to describe yet. He was liminal before liminal was cool

Implemented surface conforming for the Spline Area mesh component! Makes the mesh snap down to the underlying colliders.

I wanted to change the colour scheme of my #godot game's UI, but there's a ton of separate image files, so I built an app (in godot) to do it in batches. It extracts the palette from a folder of images and lets you remap each colour. You can also import a palette from lospec.com

Learned that I am being laid off from Heart Machine, and will be leaving the studio later this month.

Our "best" can change from day to day. Every day is different.
