I propose to make universal the old policy of the Blackfriars conference at the American Shakespeare Center:

If you do not end your paper on time, you will be forced to exit, pursued by a bear. Literally, a bear will come take your paper from you.

how bad do you have to fuck up to allow an exploit in fucking NOTEPAD
The AI features added to Notepad created a critical exploit vulnerable to loading a compromised txt file.

The fix is part of Patch Tuesday, so update your systems.

AI is not a feature I ever desired in Notepad. I should look into some alternatives...

Lower-income UK families face 137-year wait for living standards to double.

No govt curbs on profiteering.

No plan for redistribution. The poorest 20% pay higher proportion of income in tax than the richest 20%

Poor must unite, vote en block for change, challenge power of corporations/rich.

Apart from the difference in art (the kids stuff radiates joy a life and the ai stuff is just dead on arrival) the kids experience something while doing it. That experience is communicated in the art too. Art isn’t just the end result.
The kids actually made animals that don't exist. The AI just put a bunch of stuff that already exists together into a polished slop blender. You can't get a better illustration of why AI can't create anything new while human creativity is bottomless.

Good summary thread. Probably still better than Tories would have been, but that's not saying anything. Dismal. Would be nice to think there might be a post-McSweeney change of direction, but seems incredibly unlikely.
