VE day was more cheerful for some than others. Poland spent the next 44 years as a satelite of the Soviet Union, mainly because of geography. My nan went back to school in 1945 just to be expelled for participating in illegal scouting (lucky her, some of her friends were executed for that). 1/3

I'm wouldn't expect anyone to have to make some summary of this snoozefest. I don't think @alternativemufc.bsky.social will do comms for this borefest but if he does, I suspect it'll be 3 mins 45 seconds of some dude snoring meme, and then 15 seconds of Martinez joy.

Is there any particular special aspect to collards?This isn't dismissive, I want to know. Best I can get from Ireland is the bacon+cabbage vibe. Never made collards, would love to know how wrong I am.
