The billionaires don’t get to play if the politicians fight back. The LNP is functionally the outreach operation of the forces you list. Labor could choose to go for radical transparency and out the forces that won’t let them make good policy.

Not sure how that sits then with Mahmood’s previous demands that refugees must integrate and contribute to their communities. Much harder to do that if you never know how long you can stay.

The Vatican achieved net-zero in terms of their electricity recently by deploying agrivoltaics at one of their wineries. I suspect that has gotten the practice quite a bit of publicity

This is one of the only things right now that's giving me proper hope for a livable future. We will never do the right thing because it will pay off somewhere down the line...but when it starts being advantageous NOW, then there's no stopping it.
The economic sense is so extremely in favour of renewables now, Pakistan is even paying Qatar penalties to rather NOT deliver the fossil gas that Pakistan already placed orders for, because their Solar PV and batteries make much more sense.
It saves them money to cancel their gas imports and pay!
