Eora man on Darkinjung country; Father of 2 boys - #ClimateActionNow; University Teacher and Discipline Lead - Social Sciences. Attempting to start an #antifa garden under the palms and gums of Empire Bay, NSW (Yes, the irony - pic above). Opinions mine.
Little, dark and big. Toms (so many flowers and fruit), Black Cherry, and Cherokee Purple.

Upon exiting the shower we were greeted with a shocking scene. Sheets peeled back. Ass on pillow. How would we ever recover from the great enstinkening?

Apparently I don't get a seat to myself now. Something to get used to I guess...

Passed out puppy. She also likes this lounge.

I just brought this ball of joy back from the RSPCA for my sons. We took a good time to find her. English Mastif cross. So far, at 3 months, she likes carrots and snuggling. She'll be giant and slobbery. Our first family dog 🙂

Spring Flower Collection for the last weeks in #Australia. I've added Blue Flax Lilly berries [Dianella caerulea] since they are as pretty as #Flowers.

Blue Thimble Flower and Calendula in the first two pictures.

Every time I think I can't be shocked by #Australia 's #History I find something else that makes my blood boil.

This is a 'game' created to support the White Australia Policy:

The below statue was given to me by my father-in-law. I don't know its origin, but it speaks loudly.

It sits below my monitor as a reminder of the current moment. I think it captures how I, and many others are feeling.

First Yellow French Beans [Phaseolus vulgaris] of the season. We've had a warm Spring, so everything is coming fast.

Solar Mills are already very much a thing. I don't want to advertise a particular brand, but type 'solar mills' into your preferred search engine and you will find. There are a lot of small scale versions, but they range up to commercial scale

Thanks for sending me down that rabbit hole. Cool, man

The resulting Wheat Berries after processing. Can be used in food as is, or ground into whole wheat flour.
October 19, 2025 at 9:38 AM
Winter Wheat grown in Empire Bay, Australia. Will do more next year since it grew really well. Potatoes struggle here due to humidity and rain levels and take a lot of effort. Wheat grows like a weed. Much easier to grow, but maybe not the most useful food in a home garden...
