If the bubble does not burst in the traditional sense, if AI tech pans out to do all the things that Nvidia, OpenAI, et al claim it will, it will still burst. Because the world won’t need buggy artisans that can adapt to building cars, it will need fewer horses.

it's always funny watching people continue to downplay the state of white collar hiring for (now more than just a few) specific segments when, as an example, this is what people seem to believe counts as a recovery in tech

Companies like Walmart providing corporate training how to sign up for food stamps is evidence that those companies cannot afford to operate without offloading their employee compensation on to the taxpayers.
Walmart is not a success, it’s an abject failure.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.
