Reposting for more accuracy: I just witnessed community members chase Border Patrol out of a retail center in Thousand Oaks. Thousand Oaks is not near the border with Mexico and is in Ventura County. But according to the ACLU it counts as border area due to the Pacific Ocean.

Unfortunately the reason why there are so many Islamists in the opposition is largely the fault of Assad. When the civil war first took off, Assad released Islamist prisoners in the hopes of causing infighting among rebel factions.
If you are looking for Syrian faction who want Western style Liberal democracy, you will be disappointed. Your choices are between Assad's Russian-backed fascist narco kleptocracy, Erdoğan style Islamists who want a suni Islamic republic, a confederacy of socialist Anarchists cooperatives, and ISIS.
They’re Sunni islamist but also somehow backed by Turkey since they’re anyone but the Kurds 🤷🏽♂️.

I honestly don't get this. russia is a fascistic empire. Leftwing movements across Europe should be all over opposing them. But only the centre left does, while the far-left wants to appease russia or openly supports russia.
Here they are calling for words instead of weapons. Sounds inoffensive at first. Then you notice that they emphasize that the speaker is a former UN bioweapon inspector. Why would they mention bioweapons? What could they possibly be hinting at? To me its clear, the leopard has not changed it spots.
