It truly is incredible how many people learned to tune out Trump's nonsense and just assume "nahhhh, he couldn't actually mean that..."
You know, I had a conversation with multiple former clients yesterday (3x called me out of the blue after the tariffs announcement!), and to a man their DC teams had been telling them that Trump was not going to do tariffs.

I just got a wonder how they got so off base ?

Can’t stop cruising through this guy’s profile. Everything he does is just amazing. Such painstaking craftsmanship and fantastic results. #photography #daguerreotype #cameras
Me and my homemade 20x24 camera. I build cameras from time to time but this is the first giant camera I built a few years ago. I designed it around the existing spring back and matching film holder which I had leftover from a restoration project from years back.

“Pundit,” a work of conceptual art consisting of multiple martinis duct taped to panel. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity. Inspired by that stupid banana, the official title of which is “Comedian.” Call me, Sothebys. I can make one for you as soon as I’m done drinking this one. #AYearForArt

This is genius. I like the idea of outsourcing some of the woe we'll all be feeling over the next two years so we can use our energy to concentrate on winning back the House and Senate in the midterms. And then the two remaining years to 2028. You've got your work cut out for you, Woe Agent.

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.

Heads up everyone - this means they hate how well the blocklists work, which is amazing. But also time to be discerning about which lists you subscribe to.
This is the next phase that Kiwi Farms members have stated they will do - constructing look-alike blocklists and then adding popular trans people to them after the fact, once the blocklist is seeded in the community. Make sure any block list you use says who runs it.
Do you know who is running this list? Reason for asking is they copied this account's lists verbatim, but do not say who is running their account.

Looking for information on how to #resist effectively? This entire thread is fantastic.

Actually IDK if it's gonna be short, but it's gonna be specific, so read on if you're curious.

Anyone surprised by Joe Scarborough going to Mar-a-Lago to lick Trump's boots has clearly forgotten the Joe Scarborough who, during his three terms as a Member of Congress, functioned primarily as Newt Gingrich's vile little lapdog.

The idea that Bluesky is insular and X is a place for diverse views is a fallacy.

X is based on an algorithm rigged to push the views of Musk and others on the far right.

Bluesky is open. You can make it whatever you want it to be.
