Retired lawyer, now an artist like I wanted to be in the first place. Painting, collage, and handmade books. Fiercely liberal, stubbornly optimistic, working to win hearts & minds one conversation at a time.
For somebody who's "not a DOGE employee" and "not in charge of DOGE," Musk sure sends a lot of micro-managing emails that sound like they're from somebody who's, you know... in charge. I hope the plaintiffs in all the lawsuits are hammering on the meaning of the term "de facto."

Good grief. Don't subscribe to the labeler if you don't want to. No need to insult Hunter for doing a ton of valuable volunteer work.

I love this idea!

That's terrible! Curious how old you were when this happened. I seriously want that teacher to wear a nametag that says "D - this is not an Art Teacher."

Oh, trust me, the MAGAs have absolutely found it. But the community here is onto them and vigilant about blocking, and consequently they keep getting added to the wonderful blocklists. Have you discovered the blocklists yet? You can subscribe to them and mass block hundreds of trolls at once.

Nothing discourages them. On the plus side, they're easy targets for blocking. So happy to see you here!

Your work is absolutely wonderful! I love making collage art, but I only seem to do it when I’m furious about something. You work is inspiring me to get more serious about it and do one every day, even if it’s just a little thing in my sketchbook. So thank you for the motivation!

I am so sorry. My heart aches for your country.

What a horrible excuse for a human being. These people are just outright terrifying.

I've read about 30 pages and it's just heartbreakingly beautiful in its wrenching truth. So grateful to have come across it.

Wonderful—thank you so much for sharing!

It sure does. I console myself by thinking about everything we can do to regain both houses of Congress in the midterms. A lot of bad stuff will happen in the meantime, but 2026 will be here before we know it and we will have a good chance to throw a wrench in all their awful works.
