Does anyone have an Algebra 2 end of year review they wouldn't mind sharing? It's my first time teaching Algebra 2 in over a decade and I would love to have a starting point - thanks in advance! 🙏 #iteachmath

Besides the IM curriculum for A1/G/A2, what are other good problem-based math curriculum for HS? Ones that follow the experience first, formalize later model. I also know of Math/Stats/Calc Medic.

What else is out there?

I believe it was @lenadarnay.bsky.social and Ryan Murray, my colleagues from @keepinlearning.bsky.social who suggested we do the show. We talk about this topic often at our house and it’s particularly controversial for me, which you’ll understand if you listen!
New EPISODE! Should we compare teaching reading & math?

Has anyone done the lazy caterer's sequence with middle or high school students? Looks like it could be fun, with connections to quadratic sequences, Pascal's triangle, and Euler's characteristic, which are all topics we've touched on this year.

#MathTeachers, how do you wrap up lessons? Not the final phase of instruction, but just the final minute of class?

Watching 100s of algebra lessons, most Ts either let kids work to the bell or make business anncmts at the end. Our nudge is to "put a bow on it."
