@jonfavs.bsky.social Super minor point, but it's come up two weeks in a row... it's not the Law of Averages that you're referring to when you say, in big crowds across the country it's kind of inevitable that some bad things will happen. It's the Law of Truly Large Numbers.

@aeraedresearch.bsky.social For AERA proposals, I hate hate hate that the tables and figures have to be collected way down at the bottom. Why not just allow them to be placed within the text where they are relevant?

It feels like a remnant of old publishing practices from the 20th Century.
