I know I've said if before, but it continues to amaze me that despite all of the bluster from local and state officials, the LAPD is still out in force every night with clubs and teargas, randomly attacking and arresting people for yelling at ICE.

There's still a whole lotta green on the map and very little orange. They've already hit my little street at least 3 times today, and to think of scaling that effort up city-wide is quite impressive.

This is what I don't get - in CA, IL, and now MN the mayor and governor get in front of cameras and complain vociferously about ICE brutality, then 20 min later local and state cops are in the streets violently gassing and beating the same peaceful protestors.

Info from Iran is spotty, we have our issues to deal with right now, and there's not a lot we could do regardless, but still this is terrible and deserving of our attention.
Witnesses in Iran comparing (in private coms to diaspora analysts) the violence now against past protest suppression. Said in past used batons, even armed units fired cautiously. This time sustained and constant fire at full volume against crowds, including with machine guns.
