As my rage has settled, this is where I’ve landed. But good god the Dems can’t message worth a damn and that’s at least partly why they ended up facing a rage tsunami.
I'm mad about the shut down and worried about healthcare, but not letting people starve is a pretty good reason to cave on this bureaucratic fight, the more I think about it. So just say that: Republicans wanted you to starve rather than compromise, so we let this one go.

So let me see if I have this right: people have suffered for weeks and children are starving, but we endured that so that we didn’t cave and bankrupt people with unaffordable health care that will probably end up with them starving, suffering and dying anyway? Which we’re now maybe doing?

-if she denied the admin stay, the full SCOTUS woulda stepped in to override her.
-if she immediately referred the case to the full Court, they coulda dragged feet.
-instead she boxed them in to act quickly once she does refer the case.
