Not to defend the ASC in the OP because I don't know them and they could be sketchy as fuck, but I do want to provide context to why providers charge ridiculous rates regardless of what the insurance company will pay or what is a reasonable amount to charge a patient.
People talk a lot of (completely justified) shit about the insurance companies but the kind of shit that healthcare providers increasingly try to get away with will make your eyes bleed

I watched the footage of that crash from several angles and holy shit… those pilots saved lives.
I cannot imagine how awful it must have been for them to know it was doomed before the wheels left the ground. And they did their best to try to get over that warehouse.
So very very sad.
