this is pretty solid spiritual advice tbh

“Be prudent, be wise, be careful that your use of AI does not limit your true human growth. Use it in such a way that if it disappeared tomorrow, you would still know how to think, how to create, how to act on your own, how to form authentic friendships.”
Pope Leo XIV told students not to use artificial intelligence for homework, saying that AI ‘won’t stand in authentic wonder before the beauty of God’s creation.’

The great thing about videogames is there already exists more games than I'd ever be able to play in a single life time, so there is absolutely no reason why I have to bother with anything using AI, generative, shite. Easiest thing for me in the world to go "Oh? not playing that then"

Hello. About a year and a half ago, some guy called Ralph asked me if I wanted to make a new videogame website.

We're launching it today. Maybe you can even visit it if people stop hammering the server for a second.

RIP Peter David.
I'm probably not a comic book writer today without reading Peter David's X-Factor #87 when I was younger. It opened my eyes to superheroes in ways I hadn't really considered until that moment. Though I didn't know him, he left such a mark on my life and I'll always be grateful.

Went to a book signing for Rachel Gillig’s The Knight and the Moth—a book which I have been waiting for literally since it was announced because the premise is *chef’s kiss*—and she said her two biggest inspirations were Ocarina of Time and A24’s The Green Knight. What a *me* ass book omg.

There's an article I never got a chance to write at Polygon about camera controls.

I'm going to write it now that I have nothing but free time, but I need your help! If you could take a minute to answer these 11 questions (or share the link), that would be amazing.

I'm incredibly lucky in that The Verge had a place for me, so I'm now senior copy editor there. Thank you to everyone who showed love and support for Polygon 💜 I'll still find ways to yap about Pokémon I'm sure
Now that the shock has (sort of) worn off I'll clarify: My role at Polygon is gone but I'm in a fortunate position overall, which is vague but all I'll say for right now. So please go follow my Polygon colleagues and give them lots of love and support (and jobs) 💜

I've been playing AC Shadows for about 40-50 hours and I do not feel engaged at all. I understand the stakes, but because of the open world of it all, the narrative becomes a bit disjointed and oddly paced. I just can't find myself caring to play all that much. It's been 3 days and I dont miss it
