Every 2 minutes a woman dies from complications related to pregnancy or childbirth. Every 17 seconds, a baby is lost before birth. Each year, 2.3 million newborns die within the first 28 days. A global call petition for 1 million more midwives: millionmore.org, who can help reduce these deaths.

There is an unusual kind of grief that community members experience when there is a tragic loss of public servants. This week, we lost two Victoria Police officers in Porepunkah, Australia. My heart goes out to the Blue Family, families of Neal and Vadim. Thank you for your service. Never forgotten.

MEDINFO25 is an incredible array of presentations with AI dominating almost every session. It would be fair to say that the sheer volume of AI use is overwhelming. I got excited about seeing the word 'sustainability' only to find that it was not in the context of the environment. This must change!
