We've been looking at historic human inner ear sections - this from the late 1920s.

The histology stain used is written on, in this case "Kulchitsky Weigert Pal". With no training in the area I've looked up what this is, & as a consequence who Kulchitsky was.

Strap in, it's quite a story. 🧪🔬

It says neighbouring SE Asian countries are watching with interest 👀.

The 4-year project would lay the foundations for such countries to roll out a similar approach.

Cholesterol-lowering drugs called statins, are far safer than previously thought, a major review has found.

Leaflets in packs should be changed to reflect this to avoid scaring people off using the life-saving pills, say the authors.
