Christie loves nothing better than mocking her own cliches, and this is a great example. The reveal of someone using a disguise to wrongfoot the investigation has been done to death at this point, and this time it's less of a punch-line and more of a set up - it's placed front and centre here.

Despite him being probably the single human most responsible for this timeline, I'm glad that he's someone with deft enough legal footwork to wrongfoot the legal abuses of this...administration.

Agree. On the wealth tax idea, it's not so much for the money raised but for the moral and political angle - a solidarity tax - the super rich helping protect us from Putin. And because it would be popular, it would wrongfoot the cosplaying Reform types who are really just shills for billionaires.

Bingo. The only tactics they appreciate are anything that can *actually* intimidate, embarrass, or wrongfoot them, and calling out deliberate hypocrisy doesn't work.

Another good choice the show makes: each 43min episode has two segments, so no story drags on too long. Ep 1A's mystery surrounding a plane crash investigator is unsettling, properly weird, and works to wrongfoot expectations throughout. Some striking imagery, great performances, nicely directed.

I'm not convinced that is exactly the right framing. I'm fairly clued into Dem politics and prior to Harris going through her selection process I had no knowledge of Tim Walz. It's still very early and the wrong publicity can wrongfoot you quickly (see Newsom and Whitmer).

He is still trying to wrongfoot Ukraine, making maximum demands, which make it impossible for Ukraine to agree. He isjust playing poker with Trump, who is absolutely not a skilled player, is probably to busy playing golf to learn the rules

Isn't part of the issue that the defence of them has improved due to video analytics (i.e. mapping out where and how players like to place penalties), so penalty takers feel the need to be whacky to wrongfoot the keeper
