I consider people who write for magazines owned by other people to be "workers" in the broad sense, but it is clear that this writer considers the "working class" to be an exotic ennobled suffering group of hourly wageworkers who must be treated like children, rather than actual comrades.
“Those of us on the left should be fighting to improve protections for workers of all races, and thereby for the betterment of people’s material conditions regardless of their views,” Arash Azizi argues:
Why the Cinnabon Story Doesn’t Make Me Happy
The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

No Kings I agree with. There is potential for them to keep getting bigger. I don't believe wageworkers will participate in a strike any time soon. I wouldn't at the moment. I need every gig I can get.

British public: The cost of living crisis is crushing working people.
Nigel: What if minimum wageworkers make even less?
Many of the companies paying workers minimum wage make billions in profit every year. Why do the Reform Party want to squeeze the working class instead of taxing the super rich?

There's a horrific ignorance of knowing Teddy only as the meme of a Rough Rider and not for the Square Deal or his strong opposition to the unchecked power of corporations and the very wealthy.

"What is particularly striking is that “many wageworkers living in highly developed capitalist societies of the 1930s could ill afford the treats that their Soviet counterparts could.”"

The typical employers of minimum wageworkers—like restaurants and retail—aren’t the same companies seeing explosive profit growth, like Apple, Nvidia, or Microsoft.

A quotation from **Teddy Roosevelt**

> [… P]redatory wealth — of the wealth accumulated on a giant scale by all forms of iniquity, ranging from the oppression of wageworkers to unfair and unwholesome methods of crushing out competition, and to defrauding the public by stock jobbing and the […]

It doesn't make sense when you personally don't have to live within it. These rich a$$holes are getting on my nerves! We should call a 'day off' protest for all minium wageworkers, to help them understand how important we are to their bottom line.

Tho' I can never find it when I want to quote it, years ago I read a paper describing survey results from US Americans describing tax policy as they understood it.
The results were bonkers.
Nearly all surveyed thought the wealthy paid WAY more & middle & low wageworkers paid WAY less than they did.

A lack of funding for scientists & doctors & imports certainly won't cascade through society destroying "wageworkers," and once those small businesses are gone there will definitely be no one left to oppress workers. Thanks for thinking this all through so thoroughly.

From President Theodore Roosevelt, August 1912.

“Our aim is to promote prosperity and then to see that prosperity is passed around, that there is a proper division of prosperity. We wish to control big business so as to secure among other things good wages for the wageworkers…

LOW SKILLED #WAGEWORKERS SHOULD NOT STEAL MONEY FROM THE WEALTH GENERATING CLASS, THEREFORE I PROPOSE WE ELIMINATE MINIMUM WAGE LAWS SO THAT EMPLOYERS HAVE THE RIGHT TO WITHHOLD WAGES FROM ANYONE WHO DOESN’T WORK HARD ENOUGH! -MTG

Had kept my sub to avoid punishing the wageworkers at the paper.
