I collaborated with some awesome volunteers today to offer ~20 participants a winter seed sowing workshop. It was good to gather as a community and be future-focused together. Planting seeds is very hopeful activity 🙂 💚 🌱

On Wednesday, before our lunch date, I took my fellow Hilltop volunteers on a tour and showed them unfamiliar paths. They were amazed how many flowers we saw, most of them sweetly scented. Oh and it was a dry day unlike yesterday!

🌱communal garden work today. Mostly maintenance, laying down cardboard and straw for weed suppression. There was a little bit of harvest for the volunteers working in the garden–
Some lettuce, chard, lacinado kale, a few sugar snap peas and some purple sweet potatoes.

A big thank you to our #volunteers for a great coppicing job alongside one of the paths at #Monkwood, letting in the light to the woodland floor 🌱🌼🌸🐝🦋🐛

The hazel that was cut will be used by our #WilderWorcestershire team for a project they're doing in a community garden 💚

It was great to be joined by our #RestorationForth volunteers on Saturday for a seagrass monitoring session at Belhaven Bay, to celebrate #WorldSeagrassDay🌱

We celebrated in style with some seagrass-themed cupcakes and a hot drink to warm up afterwards🍰
