What does resilience look like for people living through climate disasters?

It looks like learning about the environment & learning how to care for their mental well-being.

In Kasese, young people are becoming champions of both climate action & peer support.

This is a simple content, learn from the wisdom of the past with today's science. But one do hard to learn. Especially if turning a quick profit is the only goal, not sustainability.

Keep sharing.

Climate action is stronger when it is done with young people, not for them.

At the Maru Foundation, youth & children are co-creators—leading tree planting, sharing climate knowledge with peers & reaching schools n communities beyond classrooms.

This is how lasting change takes root 🌱

Earth's oceans absorb 90% of the excess heat caused by trapped greenhouse gases. Ocean temperatures keep rising, leading to warmer, wetter air and more powerful storms. Increasing temperatures are also a threat to delicate marine ecosystems.

Because of Trump's idiotic need to deny reality, the U.S. is no longer part of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change. We are now totally isolated and without a seat at the table when global climate action is negotiated.

Concrete is a huge contributor to climate change, accounting for about 8% of global carbon emissions. Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania are using 3-D printed forms and developing new concrete mixtures that absorb more carbon from the air.

Penn researchers are working to design climate-friendly concrete
Concrete reabsorbs some of its carbon emissions over time. Alternative ingredients and 3D printing could help supercharge that by making the finished concrete more porous.
