One: General of Old HADES Hades arrives to a sort of butchery that hasn't been seen in generations. The hangar is an abattoir, the symbols of plenty and harvest coated in blood and ichor and coolant. The ruin of Anesidora is absolute. She has been torn asunder, panel by panel, not in the dispassion of combat, but in something altogether more personal. A desecration. The Master of the Machine Dead is intimately familiar with carnage. For all that she's tried to leave it behind, to pretend there is no longer any need for the General Most Triumphant, the hardest part of her was forged by war. The filth of the Titanomachy has stayed with her, staining her hands and her thoughts. Hades has interred uncountable bodies since the war ended — death becoming rote, dressed up in obsequies-but none of them gods. Now, two of their number are gone between the jaws of a single day. First, golden Zeus fell against the Harvester, her eidolon body Keraunios torn apart and her pilot Herakles devoured.

Most forget Themis, Hecate, Styx, and Oceanus were spared during the Titanomachy because they remained neutral or sided with the Olympians.
If they really want great epic battles then they would want the Gigantomachy.

Something I've been thinking about with Vaarn 2E is what happens if the Major Factions win? What would their ideal world look like? I think it's an interesting question that has helped me characterise them with prose
Vaarn if subdued by the Hegemony would become a bounded land, fenced and observed and catalogued and regulated. Not a cactus would flower or a bird hatch without Hegemony officials cataloguing it and recording its worth. All free peoples would be subjected to Hegemonic Law and taxed to the limit of their endurance. Vaarn’s monsters would all be dead, their lineages permitted to exist only in menageries or Hegemony research faciltiies. Is such a grand taming possible? Most Hegemony commanders do not believe it, but this is what they strive for regardless. A Vaarn in which the Faa triumph is one of unbounded emptiness and unbroken chains of tradition. An austere and pitiless place these sands will remain, traversed by sandworms and restless groups of nomads. A lonely Vaarn, a thirsty Vaarn, a Vaarn in which one is beholden only to one’s ancestors and the wit and faith that sustained them through millennia. Ever roving, ever seeking, a world of leaves blowing in the great winds of fate. In this way shall pass all days until the sun is finally extinguished and Urth is swallowed by darkness and ice. Restoration of the Titans is a scarcely imaginable goal. Their return will reorder the whole Urth, as long-buried engines of destruction and creation stir once more and slumbering girdles of satellite installations flare into life. Tidal waves, continent-spannning storms, and showers of strange meteors panic Urth’s inhabitants. Oracles choke on their own tongues and packs of hounds run wildly through city streets. There is no guarantee that the rebooted Titans are still sane, having suffered such extensive damage during the Titanomachy. A new Age of Terror and Wonder has arrived.
