My favorite sci-fi RPG is a tough ask, but it would have to be Star Wars D6 or Traveller LBB/Mongoose. I'm currently planning for a Numenera game this year, featuring as much technofantasy and weird sword & sorcery as I can muster

How am I meant to discuss the story of a game with one of my friends if both our NPCs throughout the game speak nothing but autocomplete gibberish, written by nobody?

People forget that there's multiple kind of "Fantasy". They want "Heroic Fantasy", when clearly in FF's we are in a ... TechnoFantasy I guess? But yeah there was ALWAYS really high (ancient) tech in any FF I played, and i've done my fair share of them.

forgot i ordered the new fabula ultima books to arrive today; technofantasy i know more or less what's inside, but i didn't know what to expect from the gm toolkit. lots of useful tips and a bunch of handy roll tables at the back - very much looking forward to pouring over those when i have time!
