I ended the holiday break with another Horus Heresy game, this time vs. Max and his Death Guard. I used a different list this time, so I could try out dreadnoughts and Iron Circle in 3E. It was back and forth but by the end of turn 3 Max had a victory point lead I could not overcome so we called it.

I finally got a Horus Heresy 3E game in this year. It was a classic grudge match, my Iron Warriors vs. my buddy Dan’s Imperial Fists. I stayed on mission and won on victory points but took horrendous casualties doing so. Very much in character for the Iron Warriors!

I'm playing Pulp Cthulhu today. We had ended on a cliffhanger so the first roll of the game was a Sanity check in the face of a Formless Spawn. I rolled 100 on percentile dice, the worst possible result. My dice curse can strike at any time in any game.
