Fantastic punk show at Vera Project last night. Great sets from all three bands: Subhumans, 1876, and the Disorderlies. 1876 in particular brought the fire. They are a Native American band from Portland who call their music pow wow punk. I hadn’t seen them before but definitely will again.

It’s been raining all day here (because Seattle). I girded up for the weather and took my daily walk around 5 pm. Unsurprisingly, I did not see a single trick or treater.

After enduring the dentist, I decided to treat myself to a khachapuri at Skalka. It’s been a year or two since I last stopped in. I typically get just cheese and gooey eggs but I tried the vegetable today and it was on point. Properly cooked eggplant for the win.

Last night I played Lion Rampant, a historical minis game from Osprey. It was touch and go for a while but my Normans pulled out a win. The new edition of the fantasy version, Dragon Rampant, comes out later this month.

This is what I was doing on this day in 1986. The show was at TT the Bear's Place in Cambridge, MA, where I saw many great shows in that era. Jerry’s Kids had been broken up when I got into punk, so I was psyched to see them. This was their first show after reforming and they killed.

When you attack, only two faces of the special d6s hit, then you have to roll again and try to get the single blast face on the dice to destroy it. You can see my roll of three complete misses (Xs) in this pic.

Rick and I took Battle of Hoth for a spin last night. It's Memoir '44 in spaaaaace, so if you've played that (or any Command & Colors game), you can jump right into the campaign. The biggest difference is that each side has its own command deck (in Memoir both players draw from the same deck).

You missed one. When Hogshead Publishing had the WFRP license, they released an adventure called Dying of the Light in 1995. The chapter I wrote for it features the Fimir. I always liked them and still have the models.
