AI is a solution looking for a problem. The real issue is that the most certain way to raise standards is to reduce pupil teacher ratios. However, this costs money and isn’t as glamorous as some fancy scheme with added AI

4. Don’t ‘compel’ others to use pronouns

In those instances where a change of pronouns is agreed, “no teacher or pupil should be compelled to use these pronouns”.

So Socrates' devoted pupil, who writes hagiographic dialogues about his teacher in which that teach never loses a debate, says that Thrasymachus got pwned?

Makes you wonder where the reputation, which Plato leans into into Book 1 of Republic, came from. His name literally means "Fierce Fighter."

Later on she was paired with an other friend's zeruderan for her "duel" but they both ended up in a fun "teacher/pupil" relationship. Mayzell is the teacher and poor Garnet is having a hard time being tested in mortal fights against her.

Pupil numbers have dropped by 10% since 2007. Teacher numbers have dropped by under 5%, so we have a higher teacher to pupil ratio. Just like doctors and nurses. Child poverty has fallen. It was worse in scotland in 2007, it's now 30% better than in england.

Yes, school for the majority was, if not enjoyable, mostly benign. Now, school is a battleground that kids have to negotiate daily over petty rules and proscriptions. I'd hate to be a pupil (or teacher) now.

My proudest moment (aged 7) was being the nominated hand writer on the classroom board on behalf of my primary school teacher (who had completely mangled her writing arm by putting it through a glass door at school when a pupil accidentally slammed on the aforementioned arm)
Today is National Handwriting Day! ✍️

Reading handwritten records can be a challenging or enjoyable aspect (often both!) of archival research.

Our Syon Abbey Collection contains six centuries of handwriting!

No & wouldn't use the language of "cheating" when they are clearly keen to do well.
However, I think there's a discussion to be had about building a culture of error (teacher) & having confidence in your answers (pupil). 🤔

Embroidered sampler showing the solar system. Samplers depicting maps, at first drawn onto the canvas by the pupil or her teacher, became so popular that ready-to-stitch versions in printed satin were developed for sale in the 19th C.

I went to a 1600 pupil state school in Fife 1979 to 1983. Not one pupil was out. (Or teacher for that matter). My brother who is 9 years younger went to the same school and one of his best pals came out in 6th year. I've lived through the change. No return. Ever.

All the Tiger Mom celebrity hype aside, it is very clear that Amy Chua is just a great teacher of law, the very best. I mean there is a reason why her star pupil here is known by his stage name, JD.
JD Vance: "I didn't say that officers who engaged in wrongdoing would enjoy immunity. That's absurd. What I did say is that when federal law enforcement officers violate the law that's typically something federal officials would look into. We don't want these guys to have kangaroo courts."

My old school - a comp favoured by Labour MPs - was absurdly violent. I have a younger sister who went into teaching (at a theoretcially much "rougher" comp) and did not see a single classroom fight in a decade. I'd see them every week. I once saw a pupil draw a blade on a teacher.

I had a C64
