There is something to be said for that! But even in the Soviet bloc streetcar extensions were often built in dedicated medians or other rights-of-way, with mixed running a legacy feature of the systems' oldest parts

Then we did streetcar suburbs because we needed to grow. But then we were capped by the operating costs of the streetcars.
Things fell off the rails (heh) when cars got added in. We started building out whole neighborhoods larger than the original town that need unending subsidies to survive.

I'm really hoping that at some point in the future the fireflies and streetcar will show up in the premium shop because I need them for this build 😩

From watching the video, I don’t think she could tell from the cab what it was and Control was having trouble understanding that she didn’t know what it was. I’m not sure how she could have explained that clearer.
Though it was funny when she slipped up and called it a streetcar instead of a train.

The Canal/Carrollton light has been stuck on a streetcar turning rotation for months.
Carrollton lake-bound drivers only have half as much time to clear the intersection. It's been annoying, but it's going to be a REAL bottleneck on Saturday.

I just realized I also defaulted to car centrism, easy to fall into here in the US. If instead of driving all those individual trips were done via walking or streetcar, the delivery driver becomes significantly less efficient.

You have the “Heartland Flyer” Amtrak train to Fort Worth, and Oklahoma City has a Streetcar line.

They switched to the shuttles on the streetcar line early, I guess because people already blocking things on the parade route. I ended up grabbing a different bus.

This will hopefully be the prodding TTC and Toronto needs to really take care of our streetcar network, bring it into the twenty first century, and operate it like we should.
There is no reason it has to be the slowest tram system in the world except for our lack of action.
