I don't love all of the challenges etc in the last few years but this one's time has come. Given years of broadcast strike zones showing how unfair the calls can be, I think they should just go full roboump on balls and strikes.
With a tap of their head, players will be able to trigger an automated review when they disagree with an umpire's call. In spring training this year, just over half of challenges were successful.

The real umps aren’t going anywhere. The MLB is just adding two challenges to ball/strike calls per game and use the roboUmp to decide those challenges.

There were 5 roboump calls total. Four of the calls overturned the ump. The entire process was dead easy. No real interruption to the game. AL made the game exciting at the end. Aroldis got his wish and pitched a scoreless 9th.
