Not the first example I've seen but it's the one which made me realise just how insidious this is, this description is horseshit. A TCOC is not made for collectors, is single-use, and isn't some sort of integral part of a "railway circuit", a TCOC is essentially a reliable way to induce a TCF!

That's the Highland Railway I guess, after amalgamation of the Inverness and Perth Junction Railway. Are you setting the story in a specific place? Completely understand the make of the steam traction is entirely outside the scope but railwayana is just fascinating.

Little bits of BR railwayana at Universal Orlando is what we like to see. Here you’ve got the loco number and shed code on the smokebox door of the faux GWR Hall class Hogwarts Express.
Also there is a decent mock-up of the KGX facade in the park, complete with NR signage.
