turned up at site tonight, couldn't find any of my colleagues, rang around to make sure I wasn't in the wrong place, turns out the job this week got cancelled and all of my colleagues were told but I wasn't.

I have fairly strong opinions on con maps, partly because I actually made one, once upon a time. It was imperfect, and I don't think I achieved all of my goals, but I think my priorities were broadly correct.

Consultation on a proposed licensing scheme for the sale of knives and bladed articles. On the face of it, this threatens to criminalise historical fencing and reenactment.

Lift I most regret getting off a colleague was a guy who constantly looked down at his phone and also gunned the accelerator constantly. most reckless driver I've ever been in a car with. Didn't even wear a seatbelt which surprised me a bit.

connection from a switch to our router had dropped to 100mbit, disconnected it, tested the cables, put it all back together, now it's back at 1000mbit. what was wrong? why is it working now? who knows, it's all magic

well, went to the coffee meet yesterday and it was fine. The position I was sitting in kinda helped, when you realise how many people are on their phones and not talking to each other, it feels a bit less lonely!
