as a practioner, the thing about magic, like religion, is that it's about faith in the unknown. not everything needs to be litigated, explained. having a working idea of how something is done aids in consistency, intrigue, ritual. but it shouldn't be exact science, or it's science. not magic.

Thank you! It may have been the practioner I went to, who was one of the most annoying men in the world, but I swear to God all CBT trained me to do was HATE CBT.

👋🏻 Daily practioner here while working f/t raising 3 kids. Took years of trying, lots of trial & error, willingness to fail, watching cooking shows. Improving all along the way. Results, I’m well planned, prepped & cooking daily. Practice brought me from no clue to self taught & I’m damn good at it.

To celebrate his work, we will now regard Jordan Peterson as a foundational champion and practioner of post-modernism.

His name forever will be considered in the realm of great post-modernists.

Nurses usually have far more personal relationships with patients. Complaints. Questions. Gratitude. Docs don't pay as much attn & nurses usually set them straight. WE NEED NURSES.

Just saw an interview with Vin Gupta
He's about the 5th well known physician to say that 79 year old men aren't given MRIs just because. There is always a reason and no competent practioner would ever tell a patient the result was "perfect".
They would confirm whether the result was expected or not

Queers will be happy to see that the Committee on Health includes Demetre Daskalakis and Patrick McGovern, both of whom have a history of queer-focused public health work.

(No surprises there, but certainly a welcome confirmation)

WHY did the Trump Admin remove nursing from the education department's list of "professional" degrees?

Nurses (and others) will be subject to LOWER annual student loan amounts. This will put Nurse Practioner and Physician Asst degrees out of reach for many.
This benefits no one.

It's nursing, nurse practioner, physician assistant, physical therapy all left out of professional student definition.

I remember being asked to conduct a conference in a solicitor's office in about 2013 and coming away almost unable to breath since she obviously still smoked in there! (And wasn't a sole practioner.)

And nurses know the types of patients tbey get. Same as docs, therapists and the like. They know and they decide. Diff is nurse will stop a practioner from inflicted more harm or pain. Even if they lose the job.
His assignment is to destroy the United States

Under the rules, if you study theology or to be a chiropractor, you can borrow student loans of up to $50K per year, but if you study to be a registered nurse or a nurse practioner, you aren't a "professional" so qualify only for $20K per year.

Leaders of nursing organizations believe the changes will make it harder for nurses to afford graduate school, leading to fewer nurses pursuing the profession.

To be fair to protein, that is an approved diabetic snack according to my endocrinology nurse (who I used to have for a few months after my endocrinologist quit and passed me off to her and then she also left the practice and sent me back to my nurse practioner).
