#multimonitor
tá, mas isso não exatamente responde a minha pergunta

tem jogo de corrida que suporta multimonitor só pra ampliar o FOV

A bit, but the problem is that multimonitor setups attract gremlins, which neither of us can do anything about.

Also, uh. Fair warning. Getting anything decent for 800 dollars is extremely difficult

Does your # linux # desktopenvironment or # windowmanager feel better on your # laptop or your # desktop (including # multimonitor ) or would you say it is equally enjoyable with both form factors?

Fedora is great! And I must disagree, even desktop Linux distros are more stable than windows 11. Nvidia GPUs can be funky, but AMD gpus run great. I have run a multimonitor setup for years on arch+plasma, no issues. (1)

So here's what I still have to put together to fully migrate to archlinux:
App-sensitive multi-button Mouse
Gaming
Multimonitor Gaming
Drawing Program (Windows VM w/ GPU/Tablet passthrough)
Keyboard/Mouse Macros (AutoIt?)

Genuinely dont understand how AutoCAD's multimonitor support is THAT bad
October 21, 2025 at 12:57 PM
Which is weird because multimonitor setups are much more common than they used to be.

A lot of games are either designed for console where that's not a concern, or it's just not considered that people might be playing multimonitor setups where that's even possible. It's annoying.

Ну зашибись... Биос ППЦ глючный. Сначало Исчезла опция iGPU multimonitor, а теперь блять половина оперативки куда-то делось.

i wish i could say this was going more smoothly but it is not

i suspect there is less testing on multimonitor situations? particularly if there are more than two? it's made a lot of wrong guesses about things

it took a reboot to get widget addition working so that's not a great start

Some Qs:
- does it use native macOS spaces or its own implementation?
- how does it handle native tabs (ie in ghostty)?
- what’s the multimonitor situation? And which API is used for display IDs?

Overall looks really nice, super impressed with how fast you got it ported!

“Tastes like broken multimonitor support”

mostly more would be useful for avoiding ridiculous keybinds on multimonitor multiworkspace systems

Unless you definitely need a high end GPU, look at mini PCs. Can usually get decent processor ram and storage with multimonitor support for 350 to 450

Besides the question mark about Epic Games Store, Linux Mint was working perfectly and any regular user or gamer would be completely fine with it. It did feel like the year of Linux on the Desktop.
Other things I didn't try were multimonitor or motherboard / fans / led stuff.

Linux Mint this time around. I've tried Ubuntu and Fedora in previous attempts. So far, Linux Mint has been the least amount of headache around nvidia drivers and gaming. Multimonitor quirks are a bit obnoxious, but tolerable.

idea for gnome: third workspace multimonitor mode that allows you to have workspaces on each monitor, but you can switch each monitor's workspace independently, for example on 3 displays you could have one on workspace 1, another on workspace 3, another on workspace 4, that kinda deal […]

sometimes i wonder what the hell i did before multimonitor setups

Lately I've been pricing up the next iteration of Bob The Gaming PC (fuck nVidia and fuck Intel) and I'm really tempted to go for a cheap second monitor. Traditionally I hate multimonitor setups, but too often lately do chums send me stuff on Discord when I'm streaming fullscreen at the time...
