After a few weeks bouncing around the metaphorical walls at work firefighting, gluing and greasing where needed, today I got to do some actual development on one of our new games and that felt good. I think the LoC tally was like +600 -1500, yay. Nothing particularly awesome, just clean progress.

I'm very happy in bsky but I'm not a zealot, I kept my twitter account alive and every few weeks I drop by to check out how the site is doing.
I rarely last 5 minutes and always leave angrier than I arrived. And I only look at my feed, not the algorithmic one. That site just makes people be worse.

Look, it’s really straightforward to get a publisher as a new name indie in 2025. Simply do 95% of the work making and marketing your game, and if your metrics are trending towards almost certain success, a publisher will swoop in to promise the remaining 5%, deliver 3%, and collect 75%

Say what you want about how badly optimized Borderlands 4 may be - but @polygon.com's interactive map webpage made my PC fans spin like the game never has except compiling shaders. And the map wasn't even maximized, or animating, or anything, it was just there.
BTW Borderlands 4 is REALLY fun.
