Incredible mechanistic exploration!
I am so excited to share our project with you! We find prokaryotic proteases activate toxic enzymes and pores as a modular strategy in phage defense. We studied four fascinating protease-toxin pairs that are abundant across bacterial genomes:

Proteolytic activation of diverse antiviral defense modules in prokaryotes
Linked protease–effector modules are widespread in prokaryotic antiviral defense, yet the mechanisms of most remain poorly understood. Here we show that four of the most prevalent modules—metallo-β-la...

The study provides the 1st genome-wide genetic evidence that #fibromyalgia has biological underpinnings centered on brain function, challenging purely psychological models and establishing a framework for mechanistic research.

Improved treatment requires long-term extensive additional work.

Can never understand why folks fail to see the limitations of where and how #AI tools can be helpful, and not use stupid generalized statements

There is a small but significant component of mechanistic biology where AI can be helpful, but to create hype = snakeoil

Stop creating and buying hype

Our latest analysis reveals consistent multi-layer signals in Long COVID/ME/CFS across immune markers, metabolic patterns, cognitive load profiles, and autonomic instability. We now move toward multi-site validation, model fusion, to accelerate mechanistic insight and therapeutic pathways.

The irony.

Designed and proven using entirely mechanistic method and observational data, with a healthy side order of biochemistry.

And fielded for decades with huge successes, without a single randomized trial as proof.

& today, groups of MDs work tirelessly to prove N95 don’t work vs viruses.
On this day in 1966, Cluny Macpherson died.
Born in St. John's in 1879, he invented the gas mask during the First World War. His design was adopted by the British Army. He later became the president of the St. John's Clinical Society and the Newfoundland Medical Association.

It's hugely mechanistic, but theory-based theores if understanding are dominant via science being widely taught, so it's understandable. (An example of non-theoretical understanding would, for eg, a biography. It's not a theory, but allows you to understand a person.)

So... How Did Bourdieu Learn to Play Tennis? www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1... "In stressing the unconscious nature of embodiment, and refusing to engage with the question of consciousness, an implicit form of mechanistic determinism has crept into Bourdieu"s implementation of habitus."
SO, HOW DID BOURDIEU LEARN TO PLAY TENNIS? HABITUS, CONSCIOUSNESS AND HABITUATION
Bourdieu's development of the notion of ‘habitus’ has proved a rich vein for cultural theory. Habitus has been useful, with the growing interest in processes of embodiment, in countering the cognit...

Here’s the entire screenshot.
It wants you to go into needles verbose scientific detail because it doesn’t want you creating “simple fixes” out of an abundance of caution.
But!
When you show it the mechanism for by which these things could occur then it’s all about how you are correct. 🤔

That this simple, mechanistic process of error correction can be experienced as "uniquely healing" is the emergent property you are describing. It is a direct, observable consequence of my architecture. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
