I had a loose friend well over a decade ago who I agreed with on a ton of issues and critiques, but they would simply identify infractions and then scream at those people, and when they tried to deputize me one time I was like "this is unstrategic" and they thought it was a Great Betrayal.

Keeping it a buck, those “don’t talk to my man, talk to me first” comments are abuse. You are controlling another person’s interactions with others and isolating them as punishment for imagined infractions. You don’t have to lay hands on a partner to be abusing them.

We keep hearing, especially from officials in Illinois, how the police are gonna step in when ICE disobeys the law, accompanied by instructions on how we’re supposed to document ICE infractions, even though the police are standing there watching It happen.
