#glassholes
That's a lot of money to pay to have everyone turn away from you in disgust when you approach, or simply take the glasses off your face and stamp on them.

Remember the first time round with Google Glass and the chuds wearing them got called glassholes? Techbros obviously didn't get the message

Ooooh, we're calling them glassholes? EXCELLENT
Eliminating glassholes from society should be understood as a model for how to treat people who behave this way.
What a thing that a) people are just wandering round secretly filming women and putting their details on the internet and b) that we have devised a piece of equipment to make that sneakier www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Tech bros (2015): People are calling our customers Glassholes let's stop making these

Also tech bros (2026): Glassholes are a growth segment we should lean into this

That's my impression sadly. The usual response is "but people do that with their phone all the time". It's a v different world since glassholes

“As for the challenges, the most pressing is privacy. In the early 2010s Google Glass turned wearers into walking surveillance systems. The social tension became so high that ‘Glassholes’ were banned from cinemas and bars.”

I just don’t see the appeal to encourage more Glassholes. 👎👎

GLASSHOLES.
I've been thinking about the appropriate response to a guy wearing glasses which may be these all morning.

Asking them to remove them won't work, because if they are genuine glasses that's harsh on the wearer, though I guess they'd mostly show anyone who asked to prove they're aren't glassholes 1/
"in most cases, these videos appear to have been filmed secretly - using Meta smart glasses."

Argh for the love of god BAN. THE. PERVERT GLASSES.
